The Cathedral and Abbey Church of Saint Alban is the seat of the Bishop of St Albans and serves the Diocese of St Albans in the counties of Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, the Borough of Luton and the London Borough of Barnet.
Dating from 1405 St. Alban's Clock Tower is the only medieval town belfry in England and retains its original bell, Gabriel, nearly 4 feet in diameter and weighing one ton. Apart from its considerable architectural interest, the Tower provides a magnificent view of the town and Cathedral.
For golf enthusiasts the world-renowed Brocket Hall Golf Club is within 8 miles of the hotel. These two eighteen hole golf courses, designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, provides an enjoyable challenge in stunning surroundings.
